THE MAO

John tries to start a conversation about a day trip | Lilou kills the conversation | We learn the meaning of the expression “the Lenin and the Mao”.

John: Today we will talk about day trips. In southern Sweden there is a lake called Vättern. In that lake we find the island of Visingsö, which is -legend says- the cradle of Sweden. We went there this summer. Wasn’t it a lovely day trip?

Lilou: …

John: Wasn’t it, baby?

Lilou: Yes it was. Except for your 30 minutes bathroom break.

John: That was no 30 minutes. And I really had to go.

Lilou: And I really had to wait with bored kids outside.

John: But I had to do both the Lenin and the Mao.

Lilou: You’re so weird sometimes. Love it when you go Niles Crane on me.
