GOTHENBURG

John tries to be smart | Lilou explains why she loves Gothenburg | Their son is politically incorrect.

John: Did you know Gothenburg was some kind of Dutch trading station long ago?

Lilou: Yes I do.

John: Oh… You do. Okay…

Lilou: Did I interrupt something? A monologue or something?

John: No, that’s alright, but for the sake of drama you could have said “no” just to keep the momentum going. But we’ve been through hard times before and we’ll survive this little accident too. There isn’t much left of the old Dutch town I believe, it’s vanished down the drain like pretty much everything else the last 50 years, but what is it that you like so much about the city? Because I know that you love it.

Lilou: Somehow I always feel like I’m coming home when I visit Gothenburg. I love the feel of the town, the houses, the wind, the harbor. I haven’t gotten that feeling for any other city yet.

John: Gothenburg is your Wakanda is it?

Lilou: Wakanda?

John: Ok that was a bad joke. Sorry.

Lilou: When I think about Wakanda I think about when our youngest son said “how could they build such amazing buildings out of cow dung?” He’s very non PC that kid.

John: It is a fair question, though.
